New Town Boys Make It 7 Straight In N.D. By Mary Albl of DyeStat Make it seven in a row for the New Town boys cross country team. Saturday afternoon at the Parkhurst Recreational Center in Jamestown, N.D., New Town continued its impressive dominance, winning the Class B North Dakota state cross country title. The Eagles placed four in the top 15 with a 2-3 finish by Robert White (16:06) and Jaiven Hale (16:15). Senior Isaac Huber of Edgeley/Kulm won the Class B individual title in 15:49. In the top girls race of the day, sophomore Meghan Ford of Jamestown was the only girl of the day to go under 18 minutes on the course, clocking 17:57 for the win. In the team battle, Fargo Davies scored 66 points to win the program's third Class A team title in a row. With a veteran squad, and its top 10 runners back from last year, Davies had five in the top 25, led by senior Megan Lundstrom's fourth-place finish (18:41). The Class A boys race saw two two underclassmen duke it out for the win as Bismarck High sophomore Sean Korsmo finished first in 15:46, edging out sophomore Brady Yoder of Dickinson (15:49). Williston claimed the A team crown with 58 points, with four runners in the top 15. In the Class B girls race, junior Reagan Baesler led Hillsboro/Central to its third straight team championship with 102 points, as she took first place in 18:41.
